I just uploaded the remix of my song, ‘method’, to SoundCloud and YouTube. Yay! This is more than just a remix actually; I also re-recorded the vocals, changed a lot around the processing chain and remixed the song from the ground up. Really love how basically dropping all faders to zero and bringing the individual tracks back in opened up the song! Here’s the link to SoundCloud: And here’s the YouTube video: Enjoy! Hope you like it – if you do, please leave a Like and subscribe to the channel! BTW: There’s more in the works … stay tuned!

Just uploaded ‘method’, my latest track, to SoundCloud and YouTube. You’ve played by the rules, waited for your reward to be doled out, only to discover that others got their way by cheating and lying … You discover you’ve been searching for the one method to deal with it … This started out as an instrumental Trance piece, but it wasn’t getting anywhere – only when I added vocals did the energy start to feel right. Hope you like it – if you do, please like the track and subscribe to my YouTube channel / follow me on SoundCloud!
Continue readingAbout to finish my new track, ‘method’
Right on time for the holiday season, I find myself in the mixdown stage for my next song, ‘method’, with no time on my hands to actually wrap it up … a pity really. I’d so love to finish it and get it out there for you guys to listen to it! On a related note, my AdWords for Video campaigns on my YouTube channel are starting to pay off. Within a few days I’ve managed to get more than 1,000 views on my videos, which I find pretty amazing. Good times!
Here’s ‘matter‘, my latest song, on YouTube and SoundCloud. This was a fascinating journey in that I started with a sketch of a song with very different instruments before I threw everything except the vocals away and created a whole new arrangement – and that’s when the song actually became something interesting and special. But listen for yourself!
Continue readingCreated my YouTube channel
So last week I created my own YouTube channel, and over the last two days created and added two videos (for ‘mask’ and ‘driving’). After adding an AdWords campaign yesterday night, I’ve got 171 views on ‘mask’ already – fascinating!
Late yesterday I uploaded m most recent song, ‘mask’, to SoundCloud. I’m super-happy with how it developed: The instrumental version of this song is several years old already, and I had originally just added a line of text from VNV Nation‘s fantastic song ‘Chosen’. At some point a few weeks ago, I just started writing down some lines of text, which then quickly became the lyrics for my new song. ‘mask’ is about human disconnectedness, the vulnerability of our Self and how we all wear a persona (or mask) in public. The persona helps us to protect our very essence, but it also separates us from each other – which is
Continue reading‘dare’, a tribute to Aylan Kurdi (RIP)
Here’s my latest song, ‘dare’, which I wrote as a tribute to Aylan Kurdi, the little three-year old boy whose body was found washed ashore a few weeks ago in Turkey. The images of his little corpse have been haunting me since I saw them, and the first few days I could barely think straight. The lyrics came to me very quickly and as if on their own volition, and likewise the music. It took a few weeks to tweak and finalize the track though; so much so that public opinion in e.g., Germany, which had been very strongly influenced by the very same images to provide more support to
Continue readingMy first two tracks on SoundCloud: ‘over and out’ and ‘driving’
Finally – I just uploaded the first two tracks of the new batch of songs to my SoundCloud. I’d been working for months (literally) on these songs, refining them to a point I’m finally happy with them and getting them mastered by EDMMastering.net. I also updated all the artwork – this has been a really nice collaboration effort with Marcel and the others over at kommerz.nl. (More on that project in a later post.) The first two songs are ‘over and out’, a track about (failed?) attempts to communicate between humans, and ‘driving’, which is about a long day on the road heading south, letting the soul hang loose and just burning
