Built myself some gobos (acoustic panels)! Many Swiss houses have their own air-raid shelters in the basement. I’ve repurposed ours for my vocal recordings but haven’t been entirely happy with sound reflections from the bare concrete; and the Caotica Eyeball that I used has some drawbacks too. That’s why I now set out to create my own gobos (instructions). Nearly done with five of them! It was good to be building something with my hands once again, it’s been a while. What remains to be done:
- Wrap the gobos in fabric
- Properly mount the gobos on the walls
